Born in 1972.

 

 

From perception to representation, from intuition to organization, Thomas Salet is trying out all the techniques and makes several languages coexist. Each material calls a specific technique and form, giving birth to series which meet each other and intertwine over the years. Thomas Salet explores the body, inside and outside. The world of microscopic biology seems to inspire transcriptions of distant universes. He is exploring with persistence the strangeness of the nature and the sinuosity of the unconscious. Drawings, sculptures, paintings are at the service of a pictorial expression which is not playing with the fantastic but is mastering an “inside language” with obsessive combinations and on supports as variables as the subjects themselves.
